As teachers indicate, the effect this is having on learners is no longer limited to MCO but affecting the in-class learning of Mathematics and general perceptions to Maths in schools. "
"Maths learning in these schools had significantly improved. Additionally, since learners were setting goals for themselves in Maths, those who participated in the interviews, indicated that they transferred this mindset to other subjects as well, and set goals for themselves in other respects. Therefore, the MCO not only impacted learners Maths learning, but their learning generally as well.
